 చూడగలిగాను,చేయగలిగాను, వెళ్ళలేకపోయాను, రాలేకపోయాను, తినలేకపోయాను.

 అటువంటి వాటికి Could ని ఉపయోగిస్తారు.

Can and could విషయంలో confuse అవుతుంటాము. వీటికి మధ్య తేడా ని  ఇప్పుడు చూద్దాం.

                                          (Positive)

 నేను ఈ పనిని ఐదు నిమిషాల్లో చేయగలిగాను.

 I could do this work within 5 minutes.

                                          (Negative)

 నేను ఈ పనిని ఐదు నిమిషాల్లో చేయలేకపోయాను.

 I couldn't do this work within 5 minutes.

 నేను ఇది చేయగలిగాను.

 I could do this.

 నేను ఇది చేయలేకపోయాను.

 నువ్వు ఇది చేయగలిగావా?

          Or

Could make:

మేము వాళ్లతో వ్రాయించగలిగాము.

 We could make them write.  (Positive)
